Just because we’re wearing masks, socially distancing, and maybe not boarding a plane to reach exotic destinations doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy what is some of the most beautiful terrain and unique opportunities in all the world. Right here in Sedona Verde Valley we have a treasure trove of gems to be discovered behind every turn. Here are just a few to get out and discover today.
Dead Horse Ranch State Park: Don’t be fooled by the name, the horses are very much alive and available for trail rides along the banks of the Verde River and the ponds full of bass. It’s a perfect spot less than two miles from Old Town Cottonwood to lace up the hiking shoes, cast your line into the river or ponds, and maybe even pitch a tent for an overnight escape under the stars. It’s a must for anyone and if you’re and Arizonan, what are you waiting for?!
Clear Creek Vineyard & Winery: It’s located in Camp Verde and it’s an oasis with flowing wine. It is, trust us. You can sit outside under the shade trees, enjoy the cool breeze through the fall leaves and sip one of their blends or 2020 debuts. It’s a grape, we mean great escape and you’ve got to visit soon.
Ghost Town Tours: It’s almost October, almost Halloween and let’s face it, 2020 is strange. Why not discover the spooky side of Jerome with a ghost tour? Jerome is full of haunted history and who knows what you can and will discover. When you’re done you have a chance to keep the haunt going when you visit the Haunted Hamburger for a bloody Mary and a cheeseburger.
These are but a few interesting places to discover and will take you around the Verde Valley. Come back and visit this site often for more ideas, wonders, and delights from Sedona Verde Valley!
