Sedona Climate Action Plan Open House

June 11, 2020 @ 5:30 pm - 6:45 pm

Free
Don’t miss the opportunity to contribute to Sedona’s first Climate Action Plan through a virtual open house. City staff will present for the first 20 minutes and then the remainder of each open house will be dedicated to question and answer. In Sedona, climate change is impacting temperatures, water availability, and wildfire risk. These changes threaten Sedona’s natural resources, economy, infrastructure, and quality of life. The Climate Action Plan will be a road map that identifies actions that the community will take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and adapt to climate change. Sedona’s plan will help build resilience to risks like flooding, wildfires, and extreme heat. In light of COVID-19, the city will be conducting the planning process virtually and asks that community members participate by joining an upcoming virtual open house. Can’t make the open house? We’re collecting input via survey, too. Fill out the survey here – it closes on June 18th. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/SedonaCAP_Community Input from the open houses and survey will help inform the ultimate vision, goals, and actions of the Plan. For more information on the Climate Action Plan process and to register for a virtual open house, please visit sedonaaz.gov/climate. Questions? Please contact McKenzie Jones at [email protected]
