With Easter in a little over two weeks, it’s time to start making plans! Sedona Verde Valley is a great place to celebrate for those who want to enjoy a great meal with the family, spend some time outside together or go on an egg hunt with the kids,
Come celebrate Easter at Verde Canyon Railroad with the Bunny Express on Sunday, April 16, 2017. This once-a-year opportunity begins with face painting on the patio.
The Easter Bunny will then give away handfuls of treats and armloads of hugs before bidding farewell to everyone on the train as it departs at 1 p.m.
The Easter fun keeps going onboard with a winner-take-all jellybean counting contest. Adults can enjoy a spring-fresh Bloody Mary bursting with so many vegetables a rabbit would love it. Be sure to secure a spot on this fun adventure for the whole family as it is filling up fast!
This is much more than just an egg hunt, this is a Celebration of Spring from 9 am to 12pm on April 15! This is a fun, action packed event for families and all those in the community who enjoy spring and the beautiful outdoors.
Inflatable toys for kids, face painting, carnival rides and much more are included with the $5 admission fee for the youth attendees.
The official egg hunt will begin at 10:00 a.m. for children 12 years of age and younger.
There are over 21,000 eggs waiting to be found! Don’t forget to bring a basket! Spots are also filling up fast so make sure to buy a ticket in advance at the Parks and Rec office in Sedona!
Many of the restaurants in Sedona Verde Valley are having great Easter menus. Make sure to book a table early! Sound Bites and Grill takes Easter Brunch to another level. The special Easter Brunch on April 16th brunch will feature a Carving and Egg Station, Seafood Station, Salad Station, Cheese and Fruit Station, and a dessert Station. They will also have live music featuring Phil Rossi on the Baby Grand Piano.
Easter weekend also falls during National Park Week, America’s largest celebration of national heritage. Every National Park will give you free admission and that includes our National Parks here in Sedona Verde Valley: Tuziggot National Monument and Montezuma Castle. This is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors after a delicious brunch or a lot of chocolate!
